Good morning friends!
You read the title correctly, I am back to doing yoga. I started with a 30 day challenge of which I will post the 1st day video below. Before I jump head first into yoga this time I want to make it clear to myself what my reason for doing this is, and what type of yoga I want to do. I also want to get a few books on it, and just fully commit. I decided on this plan by reading Vanessa Michele’s tips linked here. She has an awesome layout of ways to commit to doing Yoga.
Goal: finding a deeper peace within myself, getting in touch with, and releasing that calm that I know is somewhere within me. I’m a mom, a wife, a friend, a sister, and an active member of my community so its hard to actually carve out time to do nothing but focus on something as simple as my breathing. This is also why I chose Vinyasa Yoga.
Schedule: this is where it gets a little difficult for me, I have certain days that I do certain things and it feels like my weekdays fill up quickly. To start I’ll say Sunday, Monday, and Friday. This is the schedule I will stick to and to be sure I do, I’ll set alarms as Vanessa suggests.
I already follow a few yogis on IG, my favorite has to be yogaracheal. She has her on website which I subscribe to. I just wish she came closer to Missouri :(.
So there you have it, I started on Monday night and it was a real struggle, yoga is not something that you get the hang of quickly but I do enjoy the challenge. Feel free to join in with me as I’ll need all the support I can get.
